App: My Budget · Developer: Herohlabs · Last updated: April 27, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Herohlabs handles information in connection with the My Budget mobile application. We are committed to protecting your privacy.
My Budget requires you to create an account to use the app. You may sign up using an email address and password or via Google Sign-In. Your account enables cloud backup, push notifications and profile management.
The following account information is collected and stored on our servers:
We do not collect your phone number, physical address, or payment information.
When you are signed in, your financial data is automatically backed up to our secure servers so it can be restored if you change or lose your device. This backup includes:
All backup data is encrypted in transit using TLS and encrypted at rest on our servers. Your financial data is never sold, shared with advertisers, or used for any purpose other than providing the backup and restore service to you.
In addition to cloud backup, your data is also cached in your device's private app storage for offline access. This local copy is not accessible to other apps.
If you uninstall the app, the local cache is permanently deleted from your device. Your cloud backup remains until you delete your account.
If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and a unique Google account identifier from Google's OAuth service. We use this solely to create and authenticate your My Budget account. We do not receive your Google password or access to your other Google services.
Google's handling of your data is governed by their own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy
My Budget displays ads served by Google AdMob. To serve relevant ads, Google AdMob automatically collects and processes certain data from your device, including:
AdMob data is encrypted in transit using TLS and processed by Google under their privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy
You can opt out of personalised ads via Settings > Privacy > Ads on your Android device.
The app may request access to your photo library solely to allow you to attach receipt images to expense entries. This permission is optional — you can use all core features without granting photo access. Photos you attach are saved only to your device's local storage and are never transmitted to us or any third party.
My Budget uses push notifications to alert you about budget limits, over-budget events, and upcoming recurring transactions. To deliver notifications, we use a push notification service that receives a device token associated with your account. This token is used only to route notifications to your device and is not used for any other purpose.
You can manage or disable individual notification types within the app, or disable all notifications via your device settings at any time.
My Budget is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
You have full control over your data. You can delete it at any time by:
For AdMob data, reset or delete your Android Advertising ID via Settings > Privacy > Ads.
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review periodically.
